In the world today, there seems to be an expert of almost every subject, though there are bound to be some gaps in that expertise. This blog is made to fill those gaps or at least one of them.
The purpose of this blog is, like other food-oriented blogs which came before it, to articulate and analyze the culinary achievements of reputable establishments. With the intention to remain consistent and grounded throughout this journey, only one kind of food will be observed: hot fudge sundaes.
This food item was chosen because it is simple. Theoretically, it should be absurdly difficult to mess up making a hot fudge sundae, yet it is for this reason they have all the more reason to be reviewed. If it is indeed possible, the people will want to know about it. On the other side of the spectrum, if there is a revolutionary achievement in hot fudge sundae making, the public will need to know all the more.
An average reader will come to this blog with the intent to find an answer to the question, “what makes a high-quality hot fudge sundae.” In time, this question will be answered, but there are some criteria to guide the judgment of overall quality:
- Quality of toppings and how much they add to the experience
- The viscosity of the chocolate when served (i.e., is it truly “hot?”)
