Margie’s Round Four: the True Sit-Down Experience

We’re so back (at Margie’s).

Full transparency: I have another post I’ve been meaning to write but I have once again arrived at Sunday and forgotten to write a review. Fortunately, I have something special always in the holster: My backlog of Margie’s visits.

Despite this being my fourth visit to the ice cream establishment, it is the first time I had the full Margie’s experience.

The indoor seating. The fancy dish that I always thought was marble but turns out to be some plastic polymer. The tiny gravy boat of fudge. Water.

You may notice some slices of banana in the sundae. This is NOT a banana split, that would assume the banana is split into two equal halves. The banana is simply an additional topping.

Quality of Fudge

You already know: Immaculate. Stunning, can’t be beat. It’s always slightly better than I remember, and I made everyone who didn’t get fudge try it, even my friend who doesn’t like chocolate. He was unswayed from his heretic ways, but everyone else was on my side.

Quality of Toppings

Delightful. Light and airy whipped cream with fresh bananas and cherries. Crumbly, roasted nuts add a delightful crunchy texture, as always.

Level of Comfort Ordering the Sundae

Never uncomfortable. Besides the fact that the menu is a tad overwhelming. But it’s encouraging to me, as I can milk this place dry for content.

Would I Rather Get a McDonald’s Sundae?

Of course not. This place is always “shmackin.”

Final Rating: 10/10
