This week will not feature a new review.
Why?
I’m dieting and the weekly/semi-weekly sundae consumption has taken a toll on my tummy area. Sue me. Instead, I thought I’d post something I think could be helpful to my readers.
I’ve noticed an alarming amount of people who don’t know what a hot fudge sundae is. Sure, they know what it “is,” but don’t know what qualifies as a hot fudge sundae. For example, I once heard someone say Dairy Queen has the best hot fudge sundae, the Peanut Buster Parfait.
This is incorrect. The Peanut Buster Parfait is a parfait, as the name states. While it does have fudge and ice cream and nuts, the form it is presented in, ice cream and fudge layered atop of each other, denotes a parfait.
Confusing? You’re right. So, here’s a simple flow chart to help you know what is, and what isn’t a hot fudge sundae.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for bestowing us with your knowledge, Hot Fudge King

Love this graphic! I dislike black licorice. I love mashed potatoes and gravy. Also love hot fudge sundaes.
This reminds me when people refer to any family-friendly animated film as a “Disney” movie. Or the confusion I had when I was first offered a Coke in Texas…which turned out to be any fizzy flavored soda. Yet I still call all facial tissue “Kleenex.”
